Why Borrego Springs
Two hours from San Diego. Two and a half from LA. A small desert town with no stoplights, no traffic, and the kind of privacy that's hard to find at a rental anywhere else in Southern California. The closest neighbor to Moonlight Oasis is a quarter mile away.
The point isn't a club crawl — Borrego doesn't have one. The point is a private house big enough for the whole group, with a pool you don't have to share, a hot tub that fits everyone, and a backyard sky most of your friends have never actually seen.
The setup
- 3 master bedrooms, plus convertible space — sleeps 13 comfortably.
- Pool and hot tub, fully fenced.
- Firepit with seating for the whole group.
- Six-burner range, full kitchen, large dining table.
- Library lounge with board games, vinyl, and a big TV.
- Rooftop deck with a real telescope for after dark.
- Starlink Wi-Fi. Cell signal in town.
A typical weekend
Friday. Roll in late afternoon, stock the kitchen at Center Market on the way through town, fire up the grill, hot tub at sunset.
Saturday. Slow morning, pool day, optional Slot Canyon hike before lunch. Steaks on the grill, cards in the library lounge, rooftop after dark.
Sunday. One more swim, sweep the house, easy two-hour drive home.
House rules, plainly
Moonlight Oasis is in a residential neighborhood. We host bachelor groups regularly and the only rule that matters is being a good neighbor — no amplified music outside after 10pm, no fireworks, no events with non-staying guests. The house is yours otherwise.
